Resilience is a concept in Psychology which denotes a state of functioning which occurs after facing any critically stressful situation with even a better performance than in any normal situation. This phenomenon is a very good example of stress management. All humans face various sorts of stresses with different magnitudes. I personally believe that stresses in relationships put severe damages in lives of all concerned persons. It is quite easy and very common to blame anybody else than oneself in such cases as a matter of self-defence whether knowingly or unknowingly. If it is unknowingly then it can be presumed as due to pathological personality disorder. In many such cases pathological family environment is seen as the major cause which includes poor relationship between the parents.
The old wisdom clearly depicts that the perfect relationship is not that we never get angry , upset , or irritated with each other . Rather it is how fast we resolve the undue conflicts and bounce back to even better than normal relationship. This resilience in relationships highly depends on our emotional management abilities ,now termed as emotional intelligence.
So TRAIN YOUR MIND to remain in positive orientation of being resilient in all critically stressful situations. I am sure you will bounce back to even better than normal situation.
