IN-LAWS ARE INVITED BLESSINGS

Today I am daring to write on a very disputed relationship of in- laws. It has rather become a prejudiced taboo term, specifically in the case of a girl who is going to live her rest of life with her in- laws after her marriage. The same thing applies to a boy with an exception that he does not need to live with her in-laws under one roof. I am talking all these as have been accepted in our society as a normal only, there can be exception also.

A few months before a young boy visited my clinic along with his parents. They all looked very much stressed. I can't detail the case but the crux of their pain was torturous behaviour of the daughter - in-law who insisted that her in - laws must do everything to satisfy her daily needs , failing which she is threatening to break the relationship. In another case the husband tortured his wife and in- laws just to transfer the business property of father in- law on his name. In short I want to say that the in- laws are considered as the most unwanted persons in spite of the fact that that both boy and girl get their intensely desired partner as husband and wife because of these in- laws only. In this way the in- laws are invited blessings for both the boy and the girl.

The problem comes only when wife or husband starts considering their in-laws as their employees and not as parents. I don't deny the reversed role of these parents considering the daughter- in - law as their daughter only and similar, considering the son- in- law as their son only as depicted in our religious epics.

So TRAIN YOUR MIND to remain in positive orientation of accepting the in- laws as the parents only. They are truely blessings to you.
