OVERTHINKING IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH : BE A MINDFUL THINKER


Thinking is an important mental tool to develop insight into any problem and seeking an appropriate solution. However, OVERTHINKING is an obstacle in this process and hence is quite injurious to both physical and mental health of any human being. My clinical observations highlight one significant fact that we indulge in negative OVERTHINKING mostly when we face critical situations which forces us to focus only on problems and not the solutions. The result takes us away from timely decision making and increase our apprehension. Sometimes overthinking turns up pathological as it creates those problems also which do not exist truely and may induce psychpathological delusions and hallucinations too. Hypochondriacal delusions are very common in daily observations wherein the patient suffers Psychosomatic and psychophysiologi-cal disorders apart from anxiety,depression and OCD .

One easy way to get rid off OVERTHINKING is considering any situation as a "must go situation" and it has some positive thing to teach us , and can be considered as an opportunity to strengthen us ..The psychological fact is that we never intend to overthink when situation is perceived as good.


So TRAIN YOUR MIND to remain in positive orientation of nurturing habit of mindful thinking focusing on solutions only.
