A few days before a couple visited my clinic. Both were desperate to seek divorce .They had married after a few years of love affair and claimed that they had developed good understanding . The session seemed unending blaming game . It took me a very long period to make them understand the purpose of their visit. Certainly if they came to me before taking divorce then it is sure there is desire of restarting the life together in the back of the mind. Thanks God a lot to make them realize that after getting married they both could not understand the value of togetherness and started considering each other guaranteed.
Now consider another commonly observed behaviour of humans specially children. When they go to the market with parents, harass parents to buy an item they feel attracted , but after a few days lose interest in the item absolutely. However, if they observe the absence of the item or when parents try to give to another child in need , the child again create an issue and force the parents to search or not give the item.
In both the cases the psychological process is same. And that is ," we consider anything as valuable only in two situations _ before getting it and after losing it. In between we do not realize it's value as togetherness in the first case and the item in the second case. There may be infinite examples in human relationships where in we observe this pathetic situation. Remember the crucial period actually is in between getting and losing . If we continue to value the item/ relationships/time/opportunity till they are with us we will not suffer the guilty rather enjoy it fully.
So TRAIN YOUR MIND to remain in positive orientation of giving value everything you have . I am sure you will enjoy richness in every regard in your whole life.
